Oscar Night® America Dallas 2009, Officially sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, this annual Awards-watching event is Dallas' only offical program, and serves as a fundraiser for the USA Film Festival as well as 50 nonprofit organizations across the U.S. So join us to view of all the nominees, Hollywood hairdos and don'ts, fashion fabulous and faux pas!
Party-goers will receive the same official Academy Awards® program books as those handed out at the actual Awards ceremony and this year's official commemorative poster.

39th Annual USA Film Festival 2009– Eight-day curated program featuring the best new American and foreign films, the Academy-qualified 31th Annual National Short Film and Video Competition and special tributes.
Accomplished directors and actors appear with their new films (50+ visiting filmmakers in attendance with 75+ films) in a setting designed to bring artists together with audiences. Other program highlights include Tribute programs recognizing master artists (directors, actors, writers, composers, cinematographers, etc.). The honoree participates in the program which includes screenings and discussions of the artist's work.

To submit a film or video, please see the following:
April Festival Week (2009) – Accepting Submissions now – features (US shorts see below). No entry form or fee. Non-competitive program. Send VHS screener tape or DVD with any info. you wish us to have to the address below. Final submissions deadline = March 10, 2009 (*Please send earlier if possible to increase your chance of inclusion.)
Academy-Qualified® 31th Annual National Short Film & Video Competition - -- Accepting entries NOW – shorts (under 60 minutes). You will need an Official Entry Form to enter. To have an Entry Form mailed to your physical address, please send us an email at usafilmfestival@aol.com and remember to specify Entry Form Request and include your physical mailing address).
The Competition is open to US made works only, bestows several cash awards (no trophies, plaques, etc.), is administered by an independent national jury of film experts, and is an Academy-qualified program (in the fiction, animation and experimental categories). ( Note: Most questions will be answered in the Entry Form, so please wait to ask us anything until after you receive and review the Entry Form.) And yes, your short film/video entry can ALSO be considered for regular play within the Festival week (non-competitive) by just checking the appropriate box on the Entry Form. Final submissions deadline = March 10, 2009.
If NO part of your short film was shot or produced in the US, there is no form or fee needed because it is NOT ELIGIBLE for the competition. However, you can submit for regular play consideration. Just send a VHS screener or DVD (non-pal format please) along with any info. you wish us to have to the address below.
